A Southern California husband and wife photography duo. A little about us; we have been capturing the beauty of weddings together since we got married.
We are best friends and lovers, and together we share a passion for people and their stories. We are so privileged to spend our days working with couples, learning about their journey and making their story come alive on one of the most significant days of their lives!
Marriage is honestly one of the most beautiful things and we love everything that it stands for. We pour our whole heart into our images and hope that they can be a real, lasting and honest record of your sweetest moments together.
We’re huge lovers of the outdoors, good food, new cultures, last minute road trips and relationships. And we would love nothing more than to be a part of the biggest adventure of your life. Let’s hang out.

“We love capturing weddings, but we are far more obsessed with the people we are capturing.”
She grew up in Africa and ran around barefoot all year round. She built forts in the trees with her siblings, made up secret languages, learnt how to play the piano, and discovered the importance of putting too much butter on your toast.
She didn’t always do things the way they were supposed to be done.
She graduated from high school in New Zealand and did a couple years of college before marrying the boy she fell in love with in Africa. They had an intimate wedding in an olive grove before moving to San Diego for the sunshine and starting Deer Lovers.
They live in a tall and simple loft that they love. She gets excited about warm light, summer days, British films, car camping, desert flora, and wooden floors. She drinks an absurd amount of peppermint tea and adores any form of handwritten notes.
Her heart’s desire is for her photos to tell the humble and honest story of you and those you love. Life is about the joyful and imperfect moments that come with the journey, and she wants to be there to capture the beauty of it all.
He grew up playing in the woods of North Carolina building forts, riding bikes, and getting stitches too many times to count; basic guy stuff.
He met Anna in Africa when he was 17 and she was 14. Then he convinced her to promise him that if they never got to see each other again that they would meet back on that same beach in 7 years no matter what; and now they are married. So I guess you can say he’s a schemer.
Sometimes his jokes are so dry even he misses the punchline. But hopefully it will make you laugh long enough to catch a photograph of you in the moment. In that way he specializes in the art of making you forget that you are being photographed and helps you focus on what’s real in that instant which is typically when the best images are taken. Because it’s you being you.
He finds shooting analog film to be his favorite medium because it captures the memories in an unaltered way preserving the raw beauty behind what’s taking place. So drop him an email so you can get together, have some laughs, take some photos, and make some memories.
